FROM TRASH, TO TREASURE

GLASS REBORN ART FROM WASTE

STEP 1 :

The first step to repurposing these bottles is to
clean and delabel them from their original labels.

STEP 2:

Then, the original bottleneck
is taken off, Either by cutting
it, or hot popping with a mini torch.

STEP 3:

After cutting, the bottle, we heat the
vessel up to 1050 degrees Fahrenheit
to then pick up the glass.

STEP 4:

After a small amount of glass is added to the
end of the punty it’s put back into the reheating chamber to get ready to shape!

STEP 5:

Glass-blowing tools like jacks and parchovies, along with a damp newspaper, aid in reshaping the vessel. Additionally, a hot torch is utilized
to spot heat various areas, enabling movement, enlargement, or shaping cuts.

STEP 6:

After forming the shape, the hot
torch is used to heat the bottom of the
vessel to add Reborn’s personal stamp.

Then picked up and placed into the
annealer at 1050 degrees where it will slowly
cool until room temperature. After about 12 hours, the forms are complete.
